The Copthorne Carnival is an annual, free-to-enter event held on the Copthorne Village Green, specifically tailored for the local community. Geared towards local families & residents, this event serves as a fundraiser for various village organisations.
The event has been running for over 50 years, gaining a higher popularity within recent years - becoming a popular tradition for the local (and wider) community.

About Us
The Carnival is ran by The Copthorne Carnival Committee, made up of a group of volunteers who dedicated their time throughout the year to make this event happen. Without these volunteers, there would be no Carnival.
We operate as a non-for-profit, with all proceeds put back into the Carnival for the next year, alongside various village organisations.

The 'core' team who meet regularly throughout the year to plan and organize the carnival, ensuring everything comes together smoothly.

Carnival Crew
Perfect for those who like to be active! Assist with setting up the site, moving equipment, and keeping everything running on the day.

Procession Marshal
Helps manage road closures to keep the procession running safely and smoothly. A key role in making sure the event stays organized and secure.
TIME INVOLVED: 30 MINS+
Setup/Packdown Team
Help set up the days before and after the actual Carnival event. Ideal for those who can lend a hand with lifting and organizing.
TIME INVOLVED: 1 Hour+
Bar Crew
Serving drinks and keeping the bar area running smoothly. A great role for friendly, responsible volunteers who want to help!
TIME INVOLVED: 15 Mins+
Clean-Up Crew
Ensures the carnival site is cleared and tidied up the day after the event. A crucial role in keeping our community clean and cared for.
